ECN’s course is an eight week course approved by NZQA
This course is designed to enable teachers and trainee teachers to:
Acquire essential subject knowledge and familiarity with principals of effective communicative language skills
Acquire a range of practical English teaching skills
Apply their teaching in an authentic teaching context

TKT?The Cambridge University Teachers Knowledge Test

The trainees for ECN’s TESOL will also sit TKT Exam which will given them an internationally recognized certificate.
TKT gives teachers a strong foundation in the core areas of teaching knowledge needed in the English teaching classroom. It is ideal all teachers, whatever their background and teaching experience, and is also suitable for people who would like to teach English but do not yet have a teaching position.

Minimum Entry requirement: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 520(Paper), TOEIC 700 or through ECN’s internal entry test
